  The Sales Assistant is responsible for timely and accurate processing and data entry of new casting orders into the ERP order entry system to provide customer and order information to sales, production control, and scheduling for efficient planning and forecasting to ensure on-time deliveries for customers. Ensures correct shipping instructions are entered in the ERP system based on customer purchase order requirements. Responsible for accurate and complete maintenance of electronic records of customer orders and contracts to ensure compliance with ISO procedures. Responsible for performing any additional clerical support for sales as needed in support of on time quality for our customers.This is a great opportunity to join a growth-oriented company that has been in business for over 100 years! CPP offers a competitive compensation & benefits package which includes a bonus program that is paid quarterly, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K with company match, paid vacation and holidays.Essential Job Functions-Accurate and timely processing of new orders into Quality system after Account Manager review and approval of orderAccurate and timely processing and data entry of customer orders , once fully approved in Quality system by all stakeholders, in compliance with ISO proceduresEnsure orders are reviewed and entered based on information contained in digital and hard copy purchase orders for both castings and tooling upon Account Manager approvalMaintain order entry system to ensure order revisions and customer information is current and accurateMaintenance of all shipping instructions per the customer's purchase order in the ERP systemCreates new customer numbers, as neededProcess customer orders according to operating proceduresUpdate ERP o rder entry system weekly with any updates and resolutions regarding open orders per Sales Account Managers authorizations.Manage and maintain quality, engineering, and shipping holds in ERP order entry system by reviewing Quality system's open holds listingManage and remove holds daily per shipment schedule once approved by Sales Account ManagersCreates tooling sales orders as needed and provides information to Sales Account ManagerEnters tooling sales order information into the Project Maste File once initiated by Sales Account ManagerCommunicates order updates, and runs and prepares reports as needed for Sales Account ManagersEnsures Sales Account Managers are notified of web-based purchase orders from their customerProvides accurate data to the Production Control and Scheduling team using SSRS based reportsResponsible for accurate and complete maintenance of electronic records of customer orders and contracts to ensure compliance with ISO procedures , including electronic filing of purchase orders after acknowledgement has been sent and maintaining purchase order filesResponsible for performing any additional clerical support for sales as needed in support of on time quality for our customersParticipates in external/internal audits, as neededMaintain a clean, organized work areaComply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and proceduresAttendanceAbility to work overtime , as neededAbility to work at the Bloomington facilityWork on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by ManagementQualifications-Education: High school diploma or equivalent requiredExperience: 2 years previous experience in a support role within a complex manufacturing environment requiredCertifications/Licenses: NoneOther Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Attention to detail, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization, working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), ability to work with others through complex situationsConsolidated Precision Products (CPP) is an industry-leading manufacturer of highly-engineered components and sub-assemblies, supplying the commercial aerospace, military and industrial markets with small-to-large "function crit cal" products.
