Primary ResponsibilitiesConducts periodic on-site safety inspections, analyzing work practicesto determine safe and efficient methods of performing work. Determinescorrective or preventative means and methods where indicated and followsup to ensure they have been implemented. Documents information inrelevant reports and analyzes data to make control and improvementrecommendation(s). Partners with local office management and projectteams in identifying potential safety issues and setting directionaffecting overall safety performance for an assigned operating unit orcompany. Oversees a Region\'s injury and claims management as needed toinclude, but not limited to; developing injury / illness treatmentprotocol; staying abreast of latest status of injuries and claims andmanagement of OSHA record keeping. Ensures all safety policies andprocedures comply with local, state, and federal Occupational Safety andHealth Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations. Responsible fordefense against OSHA citations. Completes and files Notice of Contestand represents the company in all safety and health inspectionsconducted by OSHA. Oversees and helps coordinate the Region\'s deliveryof training programs for managers, supervisors and field employees whenrequired and develops new training programs as needed. Performs specialprojects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for thegeneral support of the organization. Reports directly to and maintainsopen communication with a Regional Safety Director. MinimumQualifications Five years safety experience in the constructionindustry. Experience in high rise structural concrete constructionpreferred. Familiarity with construction safety work rules contained inSupervisor Safety Manuals as well as OSHA Part 1910 and 1926regulations.
