Position Mission:
Support the company-wide for effective safety programs that helps prevent workplace accidents and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
Reporting Relationship:
Director of HSE
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in daily operations of the safety department by managing correspondence, preparing documents, and maintain organized system for safety records and reports.
Fulfill compliance requirements for the safety function for all commercial opportunities.
Participate in the new business proposal process to capture and act upon safety requirements.
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external queries related to safety policies and procedures.
Conduct research on safety compliance upon request from Safety team members.
Lead the training participation tracking process with an overall objective of maintaining accurate and timely records.
Participate in pre-service planning meetings to gather information on safety requirements for the technical service team members.
Educate operations managers on training and administrative safety requirements to fulfill customer contracts.
Requirements:
A minimum of 3-5 years of administrative assistant experience in a safety department at an industrial company is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices is preferred.
An Associate Degree or equivalent college coursework is a definite plus.
Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Demonstrated track record of success in a role where managing multiple administrative projects was required.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time to fulfill responsibilities at customer sites, as needed.
