  for students and peace of mindfor families while providing top-tier experiential and enrichment opportunities in the after school hours/out-of-school time hours.

  Specific Duties

  Monitor and open door; sign-in students for AM Safe Harbor and record AM census (these duties are not to be assigned to students).Monitor the student behavior in activity areas, hallways, bathrooms, etc.Supervise bathroom breaks.Provide staff-supervised, activities such as games, Story time, coloring, cartoons, small projects, and youth appropriate TV viewing (G-rated).Provide recreation activities in the gym, if available or outside if weather permits and appropriate staffing is available.Make proper use of Disciplinary Referral forms when necessary.Follow proper procedures for accepting payments when required (any issues regarding payments are the responsibility of the Site Coordinator).Maintain communication log for the Safe Harbor Coordinator i.e. special notes about student issues that affect school day or after schools such as toileting accidents, parent communication issues, a sick child, AM needs, and supplies. If there are pressing issues that will affect day school contact the Site Coordinator / Safe Harbor Administration immediately.Professional Standards

  Respect students and staff.Respect confidentiality of school personnel, students, and their families.Display enthusiasm for the learning process.Work with other staff as a team.No cell phone use (unless in the case of an emergency).Communicate effectively with building personnel and parents.Basic Responsibilities

  Exhibit an understanding of Safe Harbor procedures and goals.Maintain an inviting, safe, orderly environment.Be responsible for classroom management and student discipline.Be responsible for the maintenance of the program area.Know emergency procedures.Education and Requirements

  High School diploma or GED.Reliable transportation.Excellent attendance record in previous employment.Annual TB test and criminal background check, drug test, CPR/First Aid, Abuse TrainingPrevious experience working with children is a necessity.Salary and Benefits

  Payment Type:Hourly, no benefits per grant cycle
