　　Position Description:

　　Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

　　Major/Essential Functions:

　　Oversee and support the assortment of K-12 competitive robotics programs associated with the department.

　　Communicate with world, state, and regional level robotics partners.

　　Develop and facilitate outreach and engagement activities involving robotics.

　　Develop and integrate robotics and coding activities and lesson plans for the department’s engineering outreach events.

　　Oversee the implementation of after-school activities and programs in robotics.

　　Oversee the implementation of robotics field trips and other learning experiences involving robotics.

　　Develop and provide robotics booths, trainings, workshops, and other professional development opportunities for educators and other stakeholders.

　　Support, train, educate, and engage Texas Tech students and organizations on how to get involved with robotics through volunteering and mentorship.

　　Report impact of robotics programs when needed.

　　Create relationships with volunteer organizations to help support robotics programs.

　　Manage robotics budget including purchasing, inventory, receipting, etc.

　　Flexible 5-day (40 hour) work schedule which includes some evenings and most Saturdays.

　　Travel for robotics events, training, conferences, etc.
