Overview/Risks
This Production & Logistics Coordinator will work with liquid nitrogen charged storage tanks with temperature and time sensitive human tissue products. This requires adherence to all special handling needs of the product as well as safety requirements for personnel.

Responsibilities
Responsible for labeling all cryopreserved tissue forms which includes retrieval of the tissue from appropriate liquid nitrogen or freezer locations, logging the tissue out to maintain accurate inventory, ensuring the tissue is kept on dry ice throughout the labeling process in order to maintain temperature stability, compiling the appropriate supplies in order to label and generate all reports associated with these tasks.
Performs 100% visual verification on tissue quality, seal and label integrity during the labeling and post labeling verification steps.
Performs electronic and physical transfers of cryopreserved tissue into the finished goods locations. Timely transactions following the release of the tissue from the Quality department ensures that the tissue is available for allocation in order to fulfill sales orders and backorders.
Responsible for the receipt, retrieval, electronic and physical transfers of cryopreserved research tissue as well as packing and shipping when applicable.
Monitor and maintain finished good inventory levels at 3 distribution sites with the assistance of the Inventory Analyst to ensure there is a balance of quantity and sizes to cover each sales area. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies that arise.
Provide support to transfer to operations for New Tissue Commercialization during validation.
Participate in work instruction generation and training for New Tissue Commercialization product lines.
Conform to MTF Work Instructions and Operating Procedures and collaborate with technical team during change control revisions for existing tissue forms.
Interface with the technical team and support on-going shipping initiatives.
Tissue that cannot be physically located is moved to an electronic search location. Tissue close to expiration is moved to an electronic expired location. These locations are reviewed on a regular basis in order to make room for releasable tissue to ensure accuracy and comply with company procedures.
Electronic and physical disposition of cryopreserved tissue for rejection in order to ensure the appropriate amount of space is available to support the processing team and inventory demands.
Perform quarterly physical inventory of all unlabeled and labeled tissue in the quarantine and finished good areas. Uses the QAD system, handheld barcode scanners and Microsoft Excel to capture the lot/serial number of units as well as the physical location.
Maintain clean, safe and orderly finished goods and quarantine areas, which includes freezers, stations, cryo carts, coolers, and rooms. These tasks require documentation on a specified basis.
Reconciling physical units versus the processing paperwork at the time of labeling and rejections. Reconciling all transactions.
Monitors inventory levels of all the necessary supplies needed to package, label and ship. Communicates directly with Supply Chain/Purchasing to request replenishment. Reconciles supplies delivered and re-stocks supplies accordingly.
Prepares shipping boxes for use which includes adherence of regulated labels to ensure DOT and company policies are followed. Includes maintaining/following temperature requirements such as the use of conditioned bricks that need
Accurate pick process for all sales orders. This includes the reconciliation of units and their expiration date against the sales order, a 100%visual verification on tissue quality, seal and label integrityand contact with Customer Service when substitutions are required.
Perform inspection on 5% of all outgoing daily packages for accuracy of contents. This includes verification of the correct units, expiration date vs pick ticket, correct amount of dry ice, correct labels and shippers were used and the time expiration is correct.
Work with equipment from multiple shipping companies (FedEx, UPS etc), coordinate pick up schedules and communicate discrepancies when necessary.
Safe hazardous waste/material handling. Work in and around liquid nitrogen pressurized tanks using the appropriate PPE.
Coordinate international shipments with marketing that require special handling. Temperature monitored rooms are used for packing and once pack outs have been completed, communication with marketing is necessary in order to make the tissue available for allocation to a sales order.
Monitor levels of dry ice daily in order to ensure quantity will cover all of the daily shipments. If supply is running low, communication is made with Customer Service as well as other shipping sites that all deliveries need to be diverted. Communicate dry ice par levels and changing daily needs with Dry Ice Company.
Work in accordance with all ISO, AATB, FDA and TGA regulations.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma/GED
Years of Experience: 1 - 3 years
Specialized Knowledge, Technical Skills, and Abilities:
Well organized and self-motivated· Proficient in basic functions within Microsoft Office including Outlook & Excel· Strong proof-reading skills with a high attention to detail. Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on management expertise and experience.· Ability to multitask, troubleshoot and problem solve.· Able to work independently while contributing towards a common team goal.· Ability to communicate clearly and professional both verbally and in written form to appropriately explain and resolve issues with employees both inside and outside of the department
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate's Degree
Years of Experience: 2 - 4 years
