The Clinical Educator is responsible for increasing staff competence through direct education, role modeling, orientation, in-service education, clinical process analysis and annual competencies.

　　MINIMUM EDUCATION

　　BSN or RN currently enrolled in BSN program; must successfully complete BSN with three (3) years of hire

　　One (1) year experience in surgical services

　　Demonstrated clinical expertise

　　Strong interpersonal and communication skills

　　Demonstrated knowledge of patient care systems

　　REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

　　Current Michigan Nursing LicensePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

　　Significant experience in the surgical services environment

　　Previous experience as a preceptor

　　Previous EPIC preceptor experience

　　CNOR Certification

　　Professional Certifications to support a culture of nursing excellence
