MaximHealthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse House Supervisor to assumeresponsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing processand the delivery of patient care. This individual provides collaborativeleadership for the processes of planning, directing, integrating andcoordinating health care services to achieve and maintain high qualitystandards. The RN House Supervisor’s performance is consistently in accordance withnursing standards; this individual also assumes accountability in managingpatient care and assistingothers in the management of patient care.

Guides,directs and assists nursing personnel to assess, plan and maintain continuityof care according to established Standards of Nursing Practice
Performsfocused interview(s) to identify specific patient needs
Assessessigns and symptoms indicating physiologic and psycho-social changes in patient condition
Holdsnursing units accountable for timely patient placement including timely admission,discharge and transfer
Promotespositive customer service with a patient and family centered care philosophywith colleagues, physicians, guests, patients, and vendors
Demonstrateseffective conflict resolution and service recovery skills
Seeksopportunities to improve care or system process; incorporates performanceimprovement principles and data
Mentorsstaff in improving individual practice; coaches as required
Supportsand contributes to the success of the hospital’s mission and vision
Demonstratesthe ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner,while supervising staff
Demonstratesknowledge of hospital administration, nursing services, customer relations, andfacility/hospital operations

Adheresto and promotes proactive patient, personal and facility safety
Maintainsprivacy and confidentiality (intentional or unintentional) of patient and employeeinformation in verbal, written and electronic form
Ensurescare is delivered per policy/procedure with effective resource management
Ensuresaccuracy and completeness of documentation and work performed per Hospitalpolicy
Maintainsa high degree of visibility within the facility/hospital and serves as aresource for the staff
Appliesknowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span toidentify patient requirements relative to age specific needs
Respondsto the community and patient`s needs on a shift-by-shift basis
Conferswith other shift supervisors and nursing administration as needed
Servesas an administrative representative on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Performsother duties as assigned/necessary
MinimumRequirements:
CurrentRegistered Nurse (RN) license for the state in which the nurse practices
Four(4) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse, at least two (2) years of whichmust have been in an acute care facility preferred
Abilityto work independently
Delegationskills in receiving and assigning responsibilities
Abilityto effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals(including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communicationskills; proficiency in the English language may be required
Computerproficiency required
