　　Position Description: RN – Charge Nurse

　　BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Charge Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Med/Surg Surgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital . This unit specializes in pre and post-surgical patients, mainly GI/GU, trauma, and any general surgery patients.

　　Proficiency in the care of a sub-specialty group of patients utilizing effective managerial skills.

　　Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.

　　Professional accountability and development.

　　Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse.

　　BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required

　　RN (Registered Nurse) license is required

　　ACLS Certification if required by department

　　RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.

　　Nurse Specialty certification is preferred Education:

　　Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS in a healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion Experience: · 18 months of RN experience in acute care is required · 1 year of leadership experience is preferred Specific Skills:
