Registered Nurse (RN) Position Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for developing, implementing andevaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and theNursing Process within the Radiation Oncology office and treatmentsetting. Acts as a patient advocate. Provides support, information anddirect care. Utilizes equipment and technology skillfully and istechnically competent in nursing procedures. Educates patients andfamilies on significant self-care issues related to oncology. The RN isresponsible for obtaining and documenting pertinent clinical informationincluding vital signs, chief complaints, social concerns, medicalhistories, and other information necessary to provide ongoingcollaborative care of the patient in a multidisciplinary team approach.The Registered Nurse aids in navigating the patients through thecomplexities of oncology care before, during, and after RadiationOncology treatments.
