　　Job Description:

　　Provides direct patient contact through appointments for nursing care, provision of nursing services during other scheduled care, and phone care. Decision-making regarding urgency of needs, triage of emergent care situations to the appropriate care provider. Collaborates with residents, physicians and nurse practitioners in clinical decision making and follow - up on patient care needs.

　　Salary Range:

　　$33.18 - $38.62 an hour

　　The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

　　Job Requirements:

　　Qualifications:

　　Education: Fulfilled the educational requirements to practice as a licensed Registered Nurse in NYS; BSN preferred.

　　Experience (minimum required): Two years’ experience in direct nursing care in a hospital or community health center, with patients of all ages. Ambulatory care and telephone triage experience preferred. Computer literacy essential.

　　License/Certification Required: current NYS RN license, current CPR certification (American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers).

　　Skills (to include equipment, software, etc.): Ability to perform under stress of working with people who are ill and may be demanding. Ability to defuse or cope with anger and hostility in others. Effective interpersonal communication and problem solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively and courteously with others. Ability to cope with ambiguity in decision making situations and to determine need for care immediacy.
