　　Endoscopy supports patient care pre-procedure, intra-procedure and recovery. Rotates with 10 and 8 hours shifts. On-call rotation for hours unit closed which includes evenings, Sundays and Holidays.

　　Scope of work

　　The RN Manager is an experienced leader responsible for managing assigned areas and services and supervising assigned patient care staff to promote the creation of a center of excellence for staff recruitment and retention and clinical and business outcomes. The Nurse Manager is responsible to ensure safe and effective delivery of patient care and clinical outcomes, compliance with regulatory, administrative and clinical standards, and policies and procedures. The Nurse Manager serves as a chief retention and safety officer. He/she ensures that safety and quality standards are upheld by effective use of data and technology to make decisions and proactively mitigates unnecessary risks for his/her area of responsibility. The Nurse Manager creates and ensures a desirable, safe work environment that enables the organization to meet or exceed its mission and goals. He/she models the way to foster communication and collaboration with physicians, staff, patients and other departments. Role specific competencies, responsibilities, roles and functions are based on the Professional Practice Model. This position reports to the Director of Nursing or above.

　　provides oversight of the Endoscopy Department (8 procedure rooms) and a team of skilled Clinical Nurses, Endoscopy Techs, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the highest standards of clinical practice and the delivery of exceptional patient care

　　coordinates with others to provide endoscopy support to the ORs and various units within the hospital

　　promotes a culture of teamwork and excellence in endoscopy practice

　　plan, develop, and implement orientation and education programs for the Endoscopy team members

　　monitor and implement patient safety protocols and infection control practices to facilitate safe patient care and enhance clinical outcomes

　　ensure efficient utilization of resources, assist in budget planning, and evaluate new and emerging technologies

　　Under general direction, maintains 24-hour responsibility and accountability for providing leadership and management of a designated patient care unit which promotes quality nursing care, cost effective use of resources and professional growth for nursing staff. 　　Required Bachelor's Degree in nursing.

　　Preferred Master's Degree

　　Required Completion of a Nurse Executive Council approved leadership development educational program, and SGNA certification.

　　3 years of relevant Endoscopy experience Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience. Required

　　1 year of relevant experience Minimum of one year of formal nursing leadership experience required for external applicants. Required

　　2 years of relevant experience Minimum of 2 years demonstrated informal leadership experience required for internal applicants, may include but are not limited to: Charge Lead Nurse, Charge Nurse responsibilities, leadership on behalf of unit/site/system at Shared Governance Council, etc. Required
