A registeredprofessional nurse who is responsible for directing and coordinatingnursing service activities, functions of the hospital and administrativeissues. The RN Supervisor is responsible in the absence of DepartmentDirectors for the operation of the Nursing Division and, whenappropriate, non-nursing departments.Acts on behalf of the WatertownRegional Medical Center Administration, in their absence, when dealingwith patients, patient families, and the public.Adjusts staffing andotherwise manages resources in a cost-effective manner, remainingresponsive to acuity and budgetary parameters.Discharges allresponsibility with consideration of the Medical Center and nursingphilosophy while maintaining awareness of legal, professional andinstitutional responsibilities.
