Description
Robert Half has need for a strong Interim Controller Consultant to be accountable for the accounting and finance operations of the company ("in the weeds"/often onsite-Warsaw), to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial result potentially SEC filings and ad-hoc strategic financial reports.
Essential Functions
• Oversee and perform daily operations of the accounting and finance department
• Posting Journal Entries, Reconciliations, Loading costs into the Trial Balance (Dynamics 365 Bus. Central)
• Analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
• Coordinate and interact with external auditors

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelors’ degree in accounting, finance or business administration with 5-10 years relevant and progressive experience. MBA and or CPA are desirable.

OrthoPediatrics’ global sales organization is focused exclusively on pediatric orthopedics and distributes its products in the United States and 39 countries outside the United States
Requirements
Accomplished in office and accounting computer systems (Dynamics 365 Business Central, Blackline, potentially Workiva SEC Reporting)
Skills to assess process and internal control weaknesses and identify improvements
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills with experience building trusted advisor/consultant relationships and aptitude for influencing Executives and Business Decision Makers
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other relevant field
CPA and/or CMA preferred5+ years professional accounting and controllership or public accounting and internal controls experience and/or Internal Audit or Controls and Compliance
Background in virtual engagement with global teams around the world and being a leader across finance teams
Good understanding of ERP system is highly valued
Top notch analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
Proficiency in BlackLine
Proven knowledge of GAAP
Proven knowledge of Journal Entry Preparation
Practical knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Solid understanding of dynamics
Quality experience with account reconciliation
Foundational knowledge in Workiva
Well-founded grasp of Preparing Trial Balances
MS Dynamics 365 Business Central experience preferred
Experience with journal entries
