　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　Under the general supervision of the unit’s Director or designee, the CNC assumes responsibility for direction and coordination of all functions in the unit on his/her designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit.

　　What qualifications you will need:

　　Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multistate Registered Nurse license.

　　Current BLS and ACLS with American Heart Association or American Red Cross for all Float Pool Registered Nurses required.

　　Current PALS required.

　　Board Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN), ENPC, NRP & TNCC preferred.

　　Graduate of a two-year Associate Degree/Diploma; BSN desirable.

　　Minimum of two years’ as a staff nurse in related area of acute care nursing.

　　Previous charge nurse experience preferred.
