About this role
This is an integral role within the Information Technology and Cybersecurity teams which leads technical architecture reviews for cyber compliance, threat research, impact analysis, and support cyber investigations across Newmont’s global landscape. The Sr Operational Technology Cybersecurity Analyst will work alongside and closely with legal, finance, communications, information technology, and other teams to support their efforts around cybersecurity and cyber-compliance related activities.
In this role you will
What will you be responsible for?
Participate in and lead day to day delivery of cybersecurity solutions across Newmont’s global infrastructure including Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) assets and solutions.
Refine and mature cybersecurity incident management and response activities across global operations in conjunction with vendors, partners, and service providers.
Work closely with managed security service provider to identify and improve threat detection and recommend methods and solutions for remediation or risk reduction.
Monitor and advise on external threat landscape and its potential impact to Newmont’s global operational landscape.
Participate and drive vulnerability management program, working to quantify risks and prioritize vulnerability remediation activities across business partners, vendors, and service providers.
Evaluate cybersecurity solutions and applicability to Newmont landscape and operations.
Provide input and advice on cybersecurity architecture, integrations, projects and initiatives to ensure their successful deployment.
Represent the company and team with other industry partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Work with Architecture, Change Management and Quality Assurance functions to enable successful deployment, support and management of critical cybersecurity assets and technologies.
Develop and deliver trainings for other employees and vendor partners around best practices for security operational technologies.

Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent/documentable work experience required
Master’s degree in Cyber related field preferred
Knowledge of IT Sarbanes Oxley requirements for public entities desired
Experience:
10+ years of overall and progressive experience across information technology towers areas (Infrastructure, software development, Operations, etc)
5+ years of progressive IT and/or Cybersecurity analyst experience or related discipline
3+ years of mining or other related industry experience preferred
Good understanding of systems, processes and technologies used at site for operational, safety and production purposes
Ability to directly lead internal and outsourced teams
Industry awareness of current IT Security trends and best practices (technology, risk assessment / management, and threat assessment)
Ability to coordinate and integrate with Newmont’s Audit, Legal, Supply Chain, Communications, Corporate Security and other teams to effectively support a well-managed cybersecurity program.
Familiarity with monitoring, assessments and maintenance of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) using solutions such as Claroty.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate cybersecurity topics and information to all levels of the organization.
Ability to lead and influence teams across many disparate departments and teams.
Strong skills and knowledge of Microsoft productivity applications.
Working conditions & location
The primary location for this position is our corporate headquarters in Denver but qualified candidates in proximity to one of Newmont's operations or regional offices are encouraged to apply as remote options may be considered.
This position may be required to travel to, and assist other domestic and international sites.

The salary range offered for this role is USD $120,480 to 143,070. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.
