Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Provides basic nursing care and administers Chemotherapy to patients following accepted nursing standards.

MMC policies procedures and physicians orders.

Leads nursing aspect of quality control improvement and research studies.

Qualifications

Minimum

Must have at least 1 year acute care experience preferably in cancer nursing.

Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license with the state of California.

Must possess and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.

Must possess and maintain a current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACL certificate) prior to administering chemotherapy.

Must be ACLS Certified within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Must possess and maintain a current ONS Certification or obtain one within 90 days of employment.

Chemotherapy-competency Certification required prior to administration of Chemotherapy.

Knowledge of state OSHA and JCAHO standards

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in nursing and national certification.

Knowledge in radiation/chemo protocols computerization and documentation skills.

Pay Range

$56.22 - $73.97 /hour
