The role:
Aon is currently recruiting an AGRC Risk Engineering Consultant - to join our Aon Global Risk Consulting. The position will be based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and you will be part of the global Aon Risk Consulting team.
This role will report into the AGRC Country Leader and to the respective AGRC EMEA Proactive Group Leader.
You will be primarily responsible for developing and providing risk consulting and engineering consulting services to internal and external clients in the construction and energy sector and encompassing ‘new energy’ technologies and risks.

In this role you will:
Oversee major client proposals and costings and monitoring performance of major client contracts.
Perform property risk control/underwriting surveys for various clients in diverse industries
Build and maintain relationship and liaise with any Aon practice group to identify and develop new business opportunities worldwide.
Advise clients on ways to control hazards in order to reduce or prevent losses. Influence clients to implement recommendations.
Provide technical support and guidance to global manufacturing plants, warehouses, R&D centers and offices in the areas of fire protection, fire alarm, code consulting, and general loss prevention.
Provide general fire protection consulting visits to various client locations.
Problem solve using the application of Client Standards, NFPA, FM Global or other standard methodologies to resolve technical fire protection issues.
Perform reviews of architectural and engineering plans for client facilities (either new construction, expansion or renovation projects) for fire sprinkler systems, water supply, and fire alarm systems and provide review comments.
Attend facility design and construction meetings to provide feedback and review with respect to fire loss prevention and fire protection-engineering issues.
Develop cost effective strategies to resolve recommendations for fire loss prevention purposes.
Investigate fire losses and prepare written reports and/or presentations detailing findings.
Contribute to the annual insurance renewal.
Provide cost effective solutions or alternatives to provide a suitable level of protection for a building or process.
Support construction and new manufacturing projects to ensure necessary fire protection standards are met.
Requirements:
A University degree, in engineering, preferably in chemical or mechanical engineering; professional qualification such as chartered status is a plus.
3+ years progressive experience working in the industry segment and a recognized subject matter expert.
Expertise in the Construction advisory / surveying a strong asset
Deep experience presenting to and working with senior level client contacts and internal stakeholders on a global perspective.
Proven international experience – industry or consulting in technical roles or insurance market engineering roles.
High degree of knowledge on risk management and transfer solutions.
Ability to drive strategies that optimize business outcomes by demonstrating a keen understanding of today’s technology environments and emerging risks (e.g. ESG, Energy, Construction, Climate and Cyber).
Proactive self-starter, and able to work solo for periods of time and as part of a team as project leader or as team member.
Excellent level of written and spoken English.
Knowledge in ESG, Climate and Cyber Consulting an asset.
Previous consulting, loss adjusting, or production planning experience an asset
