Job Description

　　The Revenue Management Analyst leads and provides system-wide coordination for achieving the goals of the Charge Audit Department of Revenue Management Department. This includes: Continuing support of meeting monthly and fiscal year end goals providing weekly observation reports. In collaboration with the Manager, Director, Managed Care and Outpatient Revenue Department within the Revenue Management Department, develops Charge Audit Department goal objectives and quality monitors to be consistent with the plans and objectives of the Revenue Management Department and CSHS. Achieves goals related to total quality, productivity, team development, customer service and financial performance.

　　Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

　　Performs concurrent review against patient medical record to document un-billed, under-billed and over-billed services and meets or exceeds defined productivity standards.

　　Performs defense audit of targeted medical records to communicate hospital department charge protocols and practices to external auditors to effectively support and defend CSHS billed charges as required.

　　Identifies, reviews, and utilizes all pertinent medical record documents in computer system/s document repository to reconcile against billed services and debits/credits charges accordingly.

　　Prepares monthly productivity reports to include AUI (actualized undercharge impact) and submit timely and accurately. Append narrative productivity summary for identification of charge audit adjustment trends by hospital department or distinct service.

　　Submits audit observations and charge variances to Manager for intervention and/or corrective action.

　　Actively participates in staff meetings to communicate trends and patterns identified by the Charge Audit division.

　　Qualifications

　　Requirements:

　　High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Finance or a related field preferred.

　　A minimum of 3 years of experience as an analyst (financial/data/business or related) required

　　California RN, LVN or CNA state license preferred.
