About Revenue Accounting Manager

  Description

  Robert Half has partnered with a fast growing publicly traded upstream oil & gas company in search of a Revenue Accounting Manager. This role is a growth position seeking a high potential oil & gas professional. The company is growing exponentially, and offers excellent benefits, a strong leadership team, and a great manager.

  Duties Include:

  Oversee and manage all aspects of revenue accounting for the upstream oil & gas operations.

  Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue recognition, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  Supervisory Leadership:

  Lead and mentor a team of revenue accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  Provide guidance and support for ongoing professional development, ensuring the team is well-equipped to meet evolving challenges.

  Financial Reporting:

  Drive accurate and timely preparation of revenue-related financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insightful analysis and contribute to financial decision-making processes.

  Compliance and Risk Management:

  Ensure compliance with accounting principles, industry regulations, and internal policies.

  Identify and mitigate potential risks related to revenue recognition through proactive analysis and continuous improvement.

  Process Optimization:

  Evaluate existing revenue accounting processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and implementing best practices.

  Streamline workflows to accommodate the company's rapid growth and evolving business landscape.

  Collaborate with other departments, including finance, operations, and legal, to enhance cross-functional communication and alignment.

  Act as a key liaison between the revenue accounting team and external auditors.

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA certification preferred.

  7+ years of experience in upstream oil & gas accounting.

  Recent supervisory experience, demonstrating strong leadership skills.

  In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles within the energy industry.

  Experience with a mid to large ERP system
