Description We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our team in New York, New York. The role is within the Technology as a Service (TAAS) industry, offering a contract employment opportunity. The Revenue Accountant will report to the Controller and assist with daily tasks such as reviewing and analyzing revenue contracts, ensuring accurate recording of revenue transactions, and providing support for audits among other tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze revenue contracts to ensure accuracy

• Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure accurate recording of revenue transactions

• Perform revenue calculations including allocation, deferred, unbilled, etc.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations

• Assist with the preparation of financial statements

• Provide support and documentation for audit processes

• Maintain knowledge of revenue accounting principles within the TAAS industry

• Utilize strong MS Excel and Dynamics skills for various tasks

• Collaborate with various teams for detailed review and analysis

• Handle deferred revenue and analyze company revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606. Requirements • Must hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficient in Deferred Revenue reporting and analysis

• Ability to Analyze Revenues and provide insightful financial information

• Knowledge of Company Revenue Recognition and ASC 606

• Experience in Financial Statement Preparation

• Strong understanding of finance principles

• Familiarity with SaaS business models

• Experience in contract review and interpretation

• Excellent skills in detailed review and analysis

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make well-judged decisions

• Must be authorized to work in the country the role is based in.
