Day/Evening Shift, 4:00 - 8:00 pm
Mondays - FridaysThe anticipated start date for this position is April 2024. The Center for Behavioral Health and Learning will open to patients in spring 2024. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS Serves food and expertly crafted beverages; cashiers/records sales; cleans and sanitizes; washes small wares and cleans equipment; empties garbage and recycling containers; maintains cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of work areas; and provides prompt, friendly and efficient service to all guests, building relationships through strong interpersonal skills. ABOUT THE CENTER FOR BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND LEARNING The new UW Medicine Center for Behavioral Health and Learning , opening on the UW Medical Center – Northwest campus in 2024, offers an unparalleled opportunity to transform mental health care and to improve mental health care training in our state. Located in North Seattle, the new facility will feature 70 longer-term adult psychiatry beds, 30 geriatric psychiatry beds, 50 medical/surgical beds focused on patients with psychiatric comorbidities, and a state-of-the-art neuromodulation program. It will also house an interdisciplinary training and workforce development program focused on preparing and supporting the next generation of behavioral health providers for Washington State. Operates cash register, accurately makes change, deposits cash and accompanying Cashier Detail Report into safe at end of shift and ensures that prices, signs and other POS information are correctly and neatly posted
Serves food and beverages to guests. Sets up and maintains attractive displays, fresh in appearance and in proper quantities
Brews coffee and ensures that other beverages are prepared and stocked.
Maintains and documents temperatures of food items and equipment
Temperatures, documents and files data to be stored for cold foods, as well as equipment such as, but not limited to, refrigerators, freezers, walk ins, and dishwashers
Uses F.I.F.O. (First In- First Out) so products are at their best. This includes dating, labeling, proper storage, and daily handling of products
Takes inventory and maintains Starbucks products at proper levels. Stocks Starbucks products
Cleans and sanitizes food service equipment. Ensures that work areas, public dining areas, serving stations, and all other assigned stations are neat, clean and sanitary. As assigned, removes dirty laundry bags; sweeps and mops floors; and provides sanitizer buckets to all workstations
Empties and sanitizes garbage cans and recycling collection bins
Acts a liaison between guests and the Food Service department REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment.
