　　Summary of Job Function :

　　Performs basic/advances therapeutic procedures as outlined under the scope of respiratory patient care service within the section of the policy procedure manual. Transcribes and implements physician orders. Uses basic oxygen advanced assessment skills and patient information to maintain awareness of patient care needs.

　　Qualifications:

　　Graduate of an NBRC school for respiratory care. Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC. Licensed by New Jersey State Board of Respiratory Care. Successful completion of all Orientation Programs.

　　Works in critical and clinical care environment with intermittent exposure to unpleasant patient care conditions, communicable patient infectious processes and some exposure to mechanical/electrical/chemical/radiation hazards.

　　Must meet requirements of the ADA (attached).

　　Must be able to walk moderate distances and transport/lift moderate weight (25-30 pounds) associated with respiratory care equipment or patient care. Must be able to work weekends, any shifts and overtime with minimal notice as a result of staffing inequities, internal emergencies, disasters, etc. Must be able to perform tedious hand equities, internal emergencies, disasters, etc. Must be able to perform tedious hand and finger dexterity with moderate to good vision under low lighting conditions.
