Description

Our reputed client is currently seeking a meticulous and dedicated Construction Accountant to join their dynamic team. Manage all accounting procedures relevant to the construction project.

Execute AIA billings, job cost reporting, and general ledger postings.

Coordinate with project managers regarding contract documents, change orders, and other contract modifications, approvals, and additional services.

Maintain organized and detailed records of all company expenses, from material purchase to labor costs.

Facilitate prompt and accurate payment to vendors and subcontractors by maximizing AIA billing.

Implement and manage comprehensive accounting software (Sage/Timberline) to streamline processes.

Prepare monthly and annual financial reports.

Ensure compliance with state and federal laws in all financial operations.

Participate in budgeting, financial forecasting, and audits.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar field.

A minimum of 3-5 years experience as a construction accountant or similar role.

Proficient in Sage or Timberline accounting software.

Excellent knowledge about AIA billing.

Strong understanding of construction financial accounting and project management.

Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
