Up to 4 hours/week may be worked remotely.Job SummaryReporting to the Enterprise Director of Respiratory Services, the education coordinator is responsible for the content, quality,consistency, and execution of the training and education program for all inpatient and outpatient respiratory services at UK HealthCare. Essential components of the program include onboarding, orientation, competency management, didactic and hands-on education, and support for staff professional development. The education coordinator works with stakeholder’s outside the department to support academic partnerships, interdisciplinary education, process and quality improvement, and research needs. The education coordinator is a clinical leader within respiratory services, providing direct patient care and at the elbow support to bedside caregivers. The education coordinator provides operational shift support both in-house and in an on-call role as assigned.Internal Employee Being Considered (IEBC)Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will be extremely organized; have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); superb computer skills; the ability to multitask; and strong respiratory practice skills. Previous hospital experience preferred. BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Instructor status achieved within six months after hire.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
