About Residential Sales Representative

We pride ourselves on our solution-selling methodology and innovative products, which makes our sales team top-notch problem-solving fence gurus. To be a Peerless Fence Group sales rep, you need more than basic sales skills and the gift of the gab. We require our sales reps to be detail-oriented, conscientious, and clear, consistent communicators. You also should have basic math and writing skills and know your way around a computer. We use Salesforce to document all of our customer projects, and we use a digital estimating tool to figure each quote. We strive to get it right the first time, which starts with our sales team being accurate in the field. This role is not always a walk in the park. We provide estimates year round, rain or shine.   Position Overview

  The Residential Sales Representative is responsible for the daily management of all residential sales appointments for the geographic area which they are assigned. The Residential Sales Representative is accountable for achieving sales, margin, and conversion targets while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Our Sales Team uses a solution selling, consultative approach to working with customers. To be successful in this role, the Sales Representative will be focused on delivering the following:

  Serve customers with Quality, Service, and Integrity; provide a high-level customer service experience

  Achieve sales growth, margin, close rate objectives

  Maintain full utilization of Salesforce program and sales processes

  Clear, consistent communication throughout the sales process

  Role and Responsibilities

  Maintain appointment schedule and arrive to each appointment on time

  Measure client backyards and compose project proposals based on project specifications, customer needs, and product preferences

  Maintain high level of clear, consistent communication with customers throughout the sales process

  Respond reliably and quickly to client requests and needs

  Provide a professional, informed sales presentation

  Achieve sales goals, margin targets

  Adhere to and uphold company policies and sales procedure

  Deliver an exceptional customer experience

  Effectively utilize Salesforce to record all appointments, emails, interactions with customers

  Use digital estimating system to produce project quotes

  Required Skills

  Excellent verbal and written communications skills

  High-level customer service skills

  Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

  Self-motivated to achieve daily responsibilities, an entrepreneurial spirit

  Demonstrable problem solving and critical thinking skills

  Basic math acumen

  Ability to learn quickly - product information, company processes and policies

  Above average listening skills; ability to understand,explain, and empathize with customer needs

  Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

  Ability to navigate difficult conversations effectively and respectfully with customers and internal team members should they arise

  Proficient in relevant computer applications

  GMail/GSuite

  Salesforce/CRM

  Previous B-to-C sales experience

  Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and adhere to all safe driving practices

  Preferred Skills:

  Minimum 2 years experience with in-home sales consultations, home improvement sales (fence sales, a plus)

  Bilingual

  Compensation:

  Compensation for this position includes a base draw of $40,000 for the first year of employment and commission-only based pay for subsequent years. There is no cap on commissions, so the opportunities are unlimited!
