In this role, you will work closely with 4-6 principal investigators within the department to support their research efforts in radiation oncology studies. As a Data Manager and Data Analyst and, you will be responsible for the management of large population-based datasets, data cleaning, storage, harmonization of data variables, and the dissemination of datasets. Other responsibilities will include supporting the research team with materials for publication and presentation. Key Responsibilities: * Data Analysis (80% effort) o Collaborate with principal investigators to understand their data needs and objectives. o Perform data analysis and generate reports as needed. o Research project development including qualitative and quantitative analyses, with emphasis on participant-report outcomes and surveys and focus groups. o Stay current with data analysis tools and techniques, particularly in IBM SPSS, SQL, Python, ArcGIS, and Tableau. o Prepare materials for presentations and publications, including data visualization, statistical analysis results, and data summaries. o Creation of visually engaging and informative charts, graphs, and slides. o Collaborating with research teams to ensure the accuracy and clarity of presentation materials. o Supporting the development of manuscripts for publication by contributing to data analysis and interpretation. * Data Management (20% effort) o Manage, clean, and store large population-based datasets. o Harmonize data variables and ensure data quality and integrity. o Create data documentation and metadata, including standard operating procedures for data management and analysis to ensure consistency and repeatability. o Disseminate datasets to relevant stakeholders, researchers, and institutions. o Manage regulatory issues related to obtaining, maintaining and disseminating datasets. Qualifications Required: * Master's degree in a related field (e.g., Data Science, Epidemiology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Public Health, Public Policy, Public Administration and/or Data Visualization) with two years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree and four years of relevant experience. * Experience in research project development including qualitative and quantitative analyses, with emphasis on participant-report outcomes and surveys and focus groups. * Data Science certification with familiary with data analysis tools, for example, IBM SPSS,MS Access, SQL, Python, ArcGIS, and Tableau. * Strong proficiency with data visualization including web-based resources. * Experience working with large, complex datasets. * Supervision of data collection and analysis of junior staff such as medical students and trainees. Previous research experience in the diversity, equity, and inclusion realm. * Knowledge of data cleaning and quality assurance best practices. * Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills. * Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. * Detail-oriented and highly organized.
