  Job Title: Associate Director of DevelopmentFLSA Status: Full Time - exemptReports to: Director of DevelopmentSchedule: FT/ESupervises: Director of Major Gifts, Corporate Relations Director,Director of Community Engagement, and Development, Special Events &Volunteer ManagerStart Date: TBDRate of Pay: $125,000/yearClosing Date: 10/18/23Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Exempt employees are eligible for but notlimited to the following:Health, vision, dental, life as well as voluntary life and disabilityinsuranceSick leave benefit - 1 day per month, 12 sick days per year (accrual andavailability begins at hire)Vacation benefit - 20 vacation days per year, accrued at the rate of .0769hours for each hour worked (accrual begins at hire but may not be used untilthe completion of six months of employment)One floating day off for use (accrued immediately, and again annually,but may not be used until the completion of the initial three-monthintroductory period of employment)Pension Plan (after one year of continuous service)Voluntary Tax-Deferred Annuity Plan (403(b)plan)Function:Reporting directly to the Divisional Director of Development, the AssociateDirector of Development will be a key member of the leadership team working inclose partnership with Salvation Army officers, team lead peers,development committees and Advisory Board/Council members. He/she willprovide leadership for day-to-day operations and management of developmentdepartment teams, special projects and fundraising programs. He/she willsustain a productive and results-oriented development environment,emphasizing teamwork, accountability, and donor-centered systems.He/she will manage and nurture a strong team of development professionals,assist with recruitment, management, development, and retention ofprofessional and support staff. He/she will build and develop effectiveworking relationships between the development team and other departmentswithin the organization. In addition, the Associate Director of Developmentwill take initiative to position The Salvation Army as a cause worthsupportingWorking with the Divisional Director of Development, the Associate Directorof Development will manage a portfolio of top prospects and major donors whiledeveloping long-term meaningful and productive relationships to maximizesupport for The Salvation Army.Duties and Responsibilities:

  In conjunction with the Divisional Director of Development, developfundraising budgets and campaign plans for the fiscal year and ensure budgetedincome goals are met. Monitor team's progress toward achieving financialgoals.Manage a caseload of up to 100 high level donors. This includes setting anannual fundraising goal for each donor, maintaining impactful,personalized communications with the donor throughout the year, making atleast one annual gift request of each donor with the ultimate purpose ofgrowing the relationship and donor's commitment to the organization's mission.Evaluate and recommend any necessary revisions to donor processing systems.Implement a proactive strategic stewardship process for all donors from pointof entry.In collaboration with the Divisional Director of Development and theCommunications Team, develop and implement a comprehensive and integrateddirect marketing solicitation strategies to secure individual income throughdirect marketing and social media communications.Work with the Communications Team, the Development and Special EventsManager, and event committees to develop strategies for philanthropicsupport with The Salvation Army and for creation of targeted collateral.Collaborate with the Divisional Director of Development on the supervision andsupport of approved fundraising campaigns and feasibility studies in thedivision. Work with the campaign/unit to ensure compliance with all THQrecording and reporting requirements to nsure successful campaigns.Assist units in preparing presentation material to donors, companies, andfoundations.Assist with training officers and staff on fundraising systems, datamanagement process and development best practices.Partner with officers and staff to help build and train AdvisoryBoards/Councils throughout the Division to maximize their communityengagement and mission impact.Assist units in resolving donor issues.Work with the Divisional Development Director to identify the internalmanagement systems and goals of the Development Department and individualDevelopment Department staff. Assist the Divisional Director of Development inestablishing the annual plan and assist in monitoring and evaluating goalachievement.Provide leadership and supervision to the Development Team in the absence ofthe Director. Supervise existing and new projects and day to day duties,serve as a point of contact, handle necessary disciplinary issues, andapprove timecards.Manage internal day-to-day development operational functions.Performs other duties as required.Qualification and Education Requirements:Minimum BA or BS degree, preferably in relevant field such as Business orSales or Marketing, and a minimum of five years to relevant professionalexperience.Direct fundraising experience for a not-for-profit organization, with asuccessful track record in corporate fund raising, is preferredMust have strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written andverbal), able to relate effectively and professionally to executives andleaders in the community as well as with key Salvation Army stakeholders...For full info follow application link.
