Summary
This position will assist with duties essential to progress in the Clarity in ADRD Research Through Imaging (CLARiTI) grant. The CLARiTI grant serves to harmonize the neuroimaging biomarkers collected across the Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) network. Dr. Rahman-Filipiak is part of a cross-institution Disclosure Consultation Team (DCT) who are tasking with guiding and supporting participating ADRCs on their biomarker disclosure practices. This Research Specialist role will involve high-level coordination of data collection from participating ADRCs via the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center with guidance from the DCT but a high level of autonomy. This individual will provide input toward the development of study and program development outcomes. The role will require working closely with the DCT to gather preliminary quantitative data, consult with participating ADRCs in 1:1 meetings to collect additional qualitative data, and use the information to inform edits to the current Biomarker Disclosure Toolkit - a set of tools shared with the Centers to support biomarker disclosure efforts. Given the multi-site, national nature of the grant, there is a large focus on cultural adaptation of the Biomarker Disclosure Toolkit to serve a diverse audience of older adult participants at each site; therefore, an ideal candidate would have interest and experience in health equity and culturally-informed care. The individual will also assist with developing and disseminating training materials, including organization of an in-person training session. The individual will likely attend bi-annual ADRC meetings to share recent developments as part of the DCT. The individual in this role will communicate closely with personnel across the DCT, CLARiTI executive team, and the participating ADRCs to provide study updates. The individual will also assist the site PI with regulatory and administrative tasks. The individual may participate in training of junior research staff at UM or across other CLARiTI sites. Opportunities to participate in literature reviews, data management, analysis presentation, and publication are available based on experience and interest.
