Overview
The Research Program Coordinator willprovide data and project management/coordination duties for the Office of Health, Equity, and Inclusion (O-HEID) and the Center for Diversity in Public Health Leadership Training (CDPHLT). The incumbent will develop data systems and processes; ensure data integrity; coordinate data needs; conduct analysis; provide data in publishable formats; and generate reports. This position will also prepare grants and manuscripts; train staff; assist with mentoring Center for Diversity scholars; and provide administrative support services to the Chief Diversity Officer and Associate Director of O-HEID. The incumbent may have supervision responsibilities as needed.
Responsibilities
Develop systems and operating procedures for input, organization, and maintenance of data for the Office of Health, Equity, and Inclusion (O-HEID) and the Center for Diversity in Public Health Leadership Training (CDPHLT) programs and participants.
Ensure accuracy and integrity of data input to various databases.
Develop processes and procedures for, monitor, and improve efficiency of data entry to various databases.
Extract, analyze, and organize research and program evaluation data.
Prepare summaries of the findings in a user-friendly manner to include graphs, tables, and written documentation.
Review and score CDPHLT scholars
Provide mentorship and assistance with research methods for CDPHLT scholars.
Review and guide development of research abstracts, manuscripts, and conference posters.
Collaborate with Co-Director, Database Manager, and Manger of the CDPHLT to prepare data for inclusion in documents such as grant proposals, academic manuscripts, and funding agencies reports.
Assist with the provision of professional and research mentoring of CDPHLT students.
Assist in preparation of reports, manuscripts, and grants.
Train and supervise O-HEID staff on data management.
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
Master’s degree in mental health or a related field is required.
Coursework in database management, statistics, and academic publication formats preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years of related research experience required.
Recent supervisory/management experience preferred.
Experience with statistical analysis, statistical software (i.e., STATA), database management, and manuscript preparation preferred.
