Responsibilities*
The Department of Pathology at Michigan Medicine has an open Research Investigator position to join our faculty in Ann Arbor, MI. The specific area of research that this position will facilitate will be to publish major projects involving a comprehensive mechanistic study on the role of thrombospondin in mucosal wound repair in the intestine. Will work on analysis of ATAC and RNA sequencing of human colonids, as well as wounds from murine colonic mucosa and prepare at least a draft manuscript on such. The Department's expectation for Research Investigators is to generate peer-reviewed publications of their current work and /or individual salary support on sponsored funds by the end of the fourth year of your appointment. Peer-reviewed publications are required for advancement to the Research Scientist track. Peer-reviewed publications along with independent extramural funding are required for advancement to the Research Professor Track. This person will be involved in mentoring graduate students as well as junior research fellows in the laboratory.
Required Qualifications*
This position requires a PhD
4 or more years' experience doing analysis of ATAC and RNA sequencing of human colonoids.

Background Screening
