Job Description
Key Responsibilities
* Organizes and conducts routine and non-routine molecular assays in compliance with applicable methods, protocols, SOPs, and regulatory agency guidelines.
* Plans and performs nucleic acid extractions on various types of biological samples (nonclinical, preclinical, and clinical matrices).
* Documents work and maintains study documentation and laboratory records.
* Learns to set up, operate, and perform routine and non-routine maintenance on general equipment and so maintain it in compliance with GLP and SOP requirements.
* Under instruction can perform recombinant DNA activities, ranging from cloning (Gibson Assembly, PCR, Vector Digestion) and DNA plasmid purification (small & large-scale) and in vitro transcription to generate assay controls.
Skills and Requirements
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Life sciences, Molecular biology, Biochemistry, Biology or related field.
* Minimum two years laboratory experience. Industry experience preferred.
* Possess a cursory understanding of qPCR and RT-qPCR to perform relative and absolute quantification of gene targets using fluorescent hydrolysis probes in at least a single-plex (or multiplex preferred) format.
* Knowledge of molecular biology techniques including DNA isolation, PCR, and cloning.
* Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
* A sense of urgency, speed, persistence, and organization in a dynamic and exciting work environment. Valued Complementary Skills
Mammalian cell culture experience, familiarity with ddPCR and corresponding platforms, biostatistical analyses and general report creation, using Microsoft Office suite and GraphPad Prism. null
