Job Description

　　A client in the greater Nashville, TN area is looking for a REMOTE Sr. SQL Server Database Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for writing and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and views, and provide review and feedback on SQL written by software developers. They are not looking for an Admin, but a true Engineer. This candidate must have extensive experience managing SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems. They will be responsible for the configuring and maintaining database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security. They must have experience with SQL Development: Write / Troubleshoot SQL Code and Design and Provide Query / Script Support to other Departments / Systems, Business Analysis / Report Writing.

　　Skills and Requirements

　　5 plus as a SQL Server Database Engineer (does not want to see SQL Server Admins)

　　SQL Development: Write / Troubleshoot SQL Code and Design and Provide Query / Script Support to other Departments

　　Extensive experience correcting and cleaning up large amounts of data

　　Experience maintaining and enhancing the performance of existing database programs.

　　Monitoring databases and related systems to ensure optimized performance

　　Writing new support programs and scripts to increase data storage capacity

　　Experience performing debugging procedures on database scripts and programs, as well as resolving conflicts Enrollments Benefits experience

　　Knowledge of both primary benefits (Medical, Dental, etc.) and ancillary benefits (Life, AD&D, etc.) is preferred.
