Position responsibilities are focused on analyzing and reporting on the performance through our test development activities, as well as providing support and direction for technician activities. The Reliability Engineer II must be self-motivated and be able to work independently.Education/Experience:Associates Degree with 3 years Engineering experience, or 2 years Engineering experience and 6 years technical experience in a manufacturing setting orBachelor's degree with 3-5 years Engineering experience or 2 years Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting and 3 years technical experience in a manufacturing setting orMS Degree with 2-4 years Engineering experience in a manufacturing setting orPhD Degree with 0-3 years Engineering experience in a manufacturing settingRequired Skills/Competencies:Advanced skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools, Databases, Data Mining, Reliability (Weibul++, ALTA) & Statistical software (Jmp, Minitab) experience required.Proven understanding of Continuous Improvement/Quality tools, Robust Engineering, Design of experiments, SPC, 6 Sigma, and FMEA.Project management experience in handling high impact/large scale projects and/or new product/process launches.Experience in establishing procedures for failures, processing, root cause analysis and risk mitigation of quality issues as related to potential field issues.Excellent interpersonal communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.Up to 15% travel required for both local and international destinations.Proven skill using general Reliability analysis methods.Knowledge of Semiconductors, Device Physics and Thin Film Technology.Knowledge of the function, characteristics, measurement, and application of PV Modules.Essential Responsibilities:Responsible for developing reliability tests for design validation/verification & life prediction of new product designs.Responsible for transferring reliability capabilities (tests, procedures, and infrastructure), training, knowledge sharing, establishing metrics and best practices across global organization.Technical resource to design reliability test plans to qualify new product and processes, evaluate testing failures and ensure consistent adherence to high quality standards by application of reliability techniques.Standardize and automate statistical data analysis, summary reports and feedback procedures.Coordinate with and conduct joint experimentation with Reliability Physics group.Ensure a safe work environment through assessments, audits, and management.Participate and lead cross-functional teams developing module and component ALT, HALT, and HASS tests.Develop life prediction models based on warranty return data and ALT results.Develop automated routines for data reduction and analysis.Initiate and collaborate on equipment improvement projects.Create and determine reporting requirements for testing and performance metrics.Reporting Relationships:This position will report to the Reliability Engineer IIITravel:No travel is required.Estimated Annual Salary Range:$63,500 - $85,000 Annual SalaryUS Physical Requirements:Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 12 hours per dayWill climb stairs on an occasional basisWill exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a seldom basisWill lift, push or pull up to 27 pounds on a frequent basisWill lift up to 51 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instructions.Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent
