  The Manager – Payroll Tax, under supervision of the Director of Payroll, is responsible for payroll tax processing and administration company wide. Manages and coordinates with 3rd party vendor to prepare Federal, State, and local tax filing and remittance. Audits, identifies, and resolves tax variances. Reviews funding for tax liability payments and payroll. Manages overall payroll tax administration for over 20,000 employees. Individual must support the timely and accurate processing and reconciliation of payroll on a weekly basis to OD employees through consistent execution of process control and review procedures. Individual will also provide support to the Director of Payroll and to other executives and leaders within the Company as needed for payroll related data requests.

  Primary Responsibilities

  Support the Payroll Department with the preparation and remittance of weekly multi-state payroll taxes for over 20,000 employees.

  Manage relationship with ADP for timely and accurate tax filing and remittance.

  Perform reconciliation and review of payroll accounts for balancing and accuracy.

  Facilitate necessary payroll tax rate updates and enhancements with IT team.

  Provide support in the planning and processing of all payroll cycles consistent with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws

  Processing of year-end payroll duties including distribution of W-2s

  Develop and monitor key payroll processing metrics

  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory and tax requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions to maintain compliance.

  Provide analysis of payroll data and payroll administration support for internal/external customers

  Participate in ad-hoc projects and process improvement initiatives for the payroll department and/or other Company departments as requested

  Coordinate internal and external audits and requests for payroll data and process information

  Assist in the communication of payroll tax regulation changes to OD employees.

  Partner with HR and Benefits department in maintaining a cohesive payroll and benefits system.

  Promote an open and inclusive environment and team spirit within the payroll department

  Job Qualifications

  Education:

  Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting or Human Resources Experience:

  5+ years’ experience a complex multi-state payroll function

  Enterprise software experience (preferably SAP and/or Workday)

  Competency with accounting and general ledger systems

  CPA desired

  CPP and professional association membership preferred

  Working Days:

  Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday,Friday,

  Working Shift:

  Shift and hours to be determined.
