Description:

　　Responsible for the development, documentation and validation of reliability tests spanning Apple's product portfolio. Testing can be mechanical, environmental or chemical in nature and a person with a broad technical experience / foundation and a research mindset would be well suited to the role. They would be responsible for gaining an understanding of the stress condition we are trying to replicate, work with various teams to gather user behavior data and design any test fixtures or equipment, document the process and procedure through Keynote, work with a technical writer to get a formal document created and validate the test through a GR&R. At times the person may need to interface with equipment vendors while sourcing new test capabilities, though we have teams to handle negotiating rates and handling payment, etc. The ideal candidate would have excellent written and verbal communication skills and allows the data to guide their development process and next steps. A person with a reliability testing experience is ideal along with a degree in engineering or an equivalent bachelors in a relevant science such as physics or chemistry.
