  r The Department of Culture, Society, and Justice at the University ofIdaho invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at therank of Assistant or Associate Professor starting in August 2024. Rankand tenure are negotiable based on how the candidate meets the criteriaoutlined in department and college bylaws.

  The successful candidate will contribute to the Departments program incriminology. All areas of specialization will be considered, but we areparticularly seeking areas that complement our current course offeringsand department strengths. In addition to maintaining an active researchagenda, the successful candidates will be expected to teach two or moreof the core service courses offered in our new Master of Sciences degreein criminology and our undergraduate degree program in criminology(e.g., Introduction to Criminology, Justice Institutions, CriminologicalTheory, Research Methods in Criminology, and/or Justice Policy Issues).Faculty are also encouraged to teach in their specialty areas withincriminology. The standard teaching load is a 2/3 (five classes peracademic year).

  Ph.D. in criminology, criminal justice, law & society, or a closelyrelated field (a JD does not meet the minimum educationalrequirements for this position);Experience developing and/or teaching criminology courses;Experience conducting and disseminating research in peer reviewedand/or scholarly journals.rrPreferred Qualifications:

  Experience teaching online courses;Experience contributing to a diverse and inclusive academiccommunity;Record of departmental, college, and/or university serviceparticipation.rrPhysical Requirements & Working Conditions:
