Responsibilities:
Responsible for the education and counseling of patients and filling of patient prescriptions in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws
Collaborates organizational leadership to support optimal organizational structure, to meet strategic goals, and ensure pharmacy is functioning at maximum capacity
Responsible for dispensing prescriptions by following standard operating procedures for receiving, filling, dispensing, logging and maintaining loss prevention control
Works as part of an interdisciplinary team, providing consultation on pharmaceutical questions to physicians, nurses, and other health care providers
Maintains current knowledge of an compliance with 340B program requirements
Reviews patient’s medication orders and drug profiles to assure correct drug use and to optimize drug regimens
Assists in the safe procurement, storage, accounting, preparation, labeling, distribution and control of all pharmaceuticals
Manages rejected claims, ensures appropriate billing procedures and ensures general profitability
Oversees the tasks of unlicensed pharmacy personnel
Compensation: $96,512-$104,832 Annual Salary (based 32 hour work week)
Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position related components.
Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
Minimum 2 years of community pharmacy experience
Willingness to travel between all three Neighborhood Health Center Pharmacies
340B experience preferred
Must possess New York State Pharmacist License with current registration
Familiar with electronic ordering and dispensing systems
