Mississauga-Oakville Emergency and Specialty Hospital is currently recruiting for a dedicated fulltime Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team. Our RVTs have the opportunity to work with and learn from other RVTs and knowledgeable support staff as well as our board-certified Specialists. If you want to expand your knowledge and skills, joining the VCA-MOVEH team would be a great opportunity for career advancement.

Previous experience in a Veterinary Hospital is an asset, our RVT’s are given the necessary tools and resources to help them succeed. Additional qualifications and attributes you must embrace to be successful in this role:

New graduates with knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy - welcome to apply! We love growing new graduates!

Surgical preparation, assisting and patient recovery.

Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records.

Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents

Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving aptitude, including the ability to ask clarifying questions to facilitate effective solution-finding

Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents.

Passion to learn more within the role.

Schedule: 40 hours/week (4 x 10 hour shifts)
