The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for managing theindividualized patient care by promoting and restoring patients\' healththrough the nursing process; collaborating with physicians andmultidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychologicalsupport to patients, friends, and families; and supervising assignedteam members. The RN is responsible to the Clinical Manager/DON for theassigned Department. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited school ofnursing. Current licensure in good standing in the state of practice,and all other states where license is held Evidence of 1 year of nursingexperience in specialty within the past two years Evidence of BLS andall additional required credentials specific to nurse specialty and asdesignated by health care organization. Duties and responsibilities asassigned could include: Record patients\' medical information and vitalsigns. Administer medications to patients and monitor patients forreactions or side effects. Maintain accurate, detailed reports andrecords. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients\'conditions. Provide health care, first aid, immunizations, or assistancein convalescence or rehabilitation in locations such as schools,hospitals, or industry. Consult and coordinate with healthcare teammembers to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel orsupervise a particular unit. Monitor all aspects of patient care,including diet and physical activity. Instruct individuals, families, orother groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, orchildbirth and develop health improvement programs. Modify patienttreatment plans as indicated by patients\' responses and conditions.Conduct specified laboratory tests. Observe nurses and visit patients toensure proper nursing care. Assess the needs of individuals, families,or communities, including assessment of individuals\' home or workenvironments, to identify potential health or safety problems. Performadministrative or managerial functions, such as taking responsibilityfor a unit\'s staff, budget, planning, or long-range goals. Preparepatients for and assist with examinations or treatments. Prescribe orrecommend drugs, medical devices, or other forms of treatment, such asphysical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.Prepare rooms, sterile instruments, equipment, or supplies and ensurethat stock of supplies is maintained. Administer local, inhalation,intravenous, or other anesthetics.
