Essential Functions:
Evaluates, plans, implements, and documents nursing care for an assignedpatient population
Assists physician during examinations and procedures
Performs variety of duties during surgical procedures
Assures policies and procedures are followed and provides necessary preand post-op care of patients
Guides OR Technicians in pre-op and post-op procedures and duties
Ensures all consents are complete and policies and procedures arefollowed
Performs various patient tests and administers medications within thescope of practice of the registered nurse
Promotes patient\'s independence by establishing patient care goals andteaching patient and family to understand condition, medications, andself-care skills
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within thefield
Will be required to work a one week off one week on scheduled rotation.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at alltimes. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a nationally accredited Nursing program required
State of Idaho Registered Nurse licensure pending as documented bytemporary licensure or current RN licensure from a state participatingin the multistate privilege to practice compact with Idaho prior tostart date
BLS Required
Full time, variable, includes call, nights/weekends
