TheVascular Access Team is a group of specialized nurses focused onproviding high quality vascular care to our veterans. The team isresponsible for peripheral lab collection, peripheral line placementwith and without ultrasound, advance line placement including midlines,PICC lines, and IO, managing central line access, responding to allcritical situations within the medical center, and collaborating withvarying levels of healthcare disciplines to determine appropriatevascular access based on IV therapy needs. Members of the VascularAccess Team serve as a resource and subject matter expert to direct careproviders and physicians. Vascular Access nursing is evidenced basedpractice.
