Schedule Weekly Hours:30 Gundersen Health System is seekinga RN for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. What you will do: 0.75 FTE=60hours/every two weeks 12-hour Day/Night rotation with every 3rd weekendRotating holiday coverage Work with a multidisciplinary team consistingof nurses, social workers, chaplains, and families. It is who weare.Job Description: The registered nurse (RN) focuses on the health andwellness of individuals, families and populations in collaboration withother health care professionals by incorporating evidence-based practicein the management of acute illness, chronic disease, disability, andend-of-life care. The RN utilizes the nursing process and alignspractice with organizational policies, professional nursing standardsand regulatory practice acts. Major Responsibilities: 1.Assessment:Systematically and holistically assesses the patient\'s physiological,emotional, sociocultural, spiritual, and financial status whileconsidering lifestyle preferences and learning needs. 2. Planning:Collaborates with patients, families, and health care professionals todevelop a patient-centered plan of care to promote health and optimizewellness. 3. Intervention: Provides competent and innovative patientcare and education based on patient complexity, acuity, and nursingjudgment within a culture of caring and safety. 4. Documentation:Documents nursing assessment, planning, interventions, implementation,and patient/family response. 5. Evaluation: Determines patient\'sprogress toward achieving goal(s), and revises plan of care incollaboration with patient/family as needed. 6. Delegation andSupervision: The RN delegates, supervises and evaluates theeffectiveness of tasks performed by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) orUnlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) who have the knowledge and skill toperform the task, taking into consideration the following: scope ofpractice training competence population served experience policies andprocedures 7.
