Job Highlights
The ideal candidate for this position will be compassionate, caring and experienced in developing/implementing the plan of care for each patient, making recommendations for patient interventions, and collaborating wtih other healthcare providers to eliver care and document outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Patient Education: Pre and post-op education for patient and family regarding the peripheral nerve block.
Nerve block assistance: Under direct supervision, administer sedation if needed and assist with placement of nerve block/catheter by pushing local anesthetic and holding ultrasound probe in place.
Pain Management: Via patient rounds and/or follow-up calls, assess effectiveness of nerve block to determine patient's comfort and coordinate with an anesthesiologist any changes to medication regimen/catheter settings that may be needed.
Chart Reviews: Transfer patient information from hospital EMR records to USAP EMR.

Qualifications
Valid RN license in the state of Texas
Active BLS certification
EHR proficient
Comfortable with all age groups
