JOB REQUIREMENTS: Accountabilities/Duties: Delivers perioperative careto the surgical patient through the nursing process of assessment,planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Maintains a safeenvironment for the patient following AORN guidelines Able to prep thepatient following AORN guidelines Creates and maintains a sterile field,has a good sterile conscious. Provides for appropriate handling andlabeling of specimen and cultures Knowledge of medications and theircorrect administration based on age of the patient and their clinicalcondition. Collaborates with other healthcare team members on patientcare. Communicates appropriately and clearly to Nurse Manager,co-workers and physicians Documents accurately and completely and keepsrecords regarding clinical practice.
