The ICUintensive care unit at Waukesha Memorial Hospital has earned asilver-level Beacon Award for Excellence from the American Associationof Critical Care Nurses (AACN). The award recognizes unit caregivers forsuccessfully improving patient outcomes and aligning unit practices withAACN standards. Units that receive this three-year award meet nationalcriteria consistent with other national quality awards, such as theNational Quality Healthcare Award. Waukesha Memorial is one of only twohospitals in Wisconsin to earn the silver-level Beacon award. (2013).Schedule Details: This .9 FTE commits to 36 hours per week, 12 hour dayshift 0700-1930 role with every third weekend requirement & holidayrotation. What You Will Do: You will perform a range of tasksincludinginterventions to achieve and maintain patient stability,,monitoring patient recovery, and responding to medical emergencies. Inaddition to having a highly analytical mindset, our ideal candidate willalso possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities: Assess, implement and coordinate complex care andinterventions Support a compassionate and therapeutic environment forcritically ill patients Provide comfort and prevent suffering Identifysudden or subtle changes in a patient\'s medical condition.
