  We offer diagnostic services provided by Cedars-Sinai doctors, nurses and cardiac imaging specialists that pave the way for a more comprehensive understanding of your condition, to allow for an outstanding care plan.

  Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  •Provides and accurately documents direct and indirect patient care services that ensures the safety, comfort, personal hygiene, and protection of patients in a timely manner.

  •Provides care and patient education on disease prevention and restorative measures.

  •Provides direct and indirect care services, including, but not limited to, the administration of medications and therapeutic agents necessary to implement treatment, disease prevention, or rehabilitative plan of care.

  •Performs skin tests, immunizations, phlebotomy and the initiation of peripheral venous access.

  •Observes signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to medications/treatments, general behavior, and/or general physical condition.

  •Demonstrates refined assessment skills, integrating appropriate data sources to assess the signs, symptoms, reactions, behaviors, or general appearance to determine normal versus abnormal characteristics.

  •Plans and implements individualized patient care based on observations. Implements appropriate reporting, referrals and care in accordance with standardized procedures. Initiates emergency procedures when indicated.

  •Provides care to special patient populations and patients with diverse cultural backgrounds. Identifies patient’s readiness for learning and ability to follow directions/instructions and give consent.

  •Demonstrates knowledge and is able to identify and make special adjustments as required to the specific populations needs, including cultural, spiritual, age, psychosocial, communication, gender, sexual orientation, economic, education, family and condition needs.

  •Identifies and assesses patient safety concerns with respect to age and developmental considerations. Intervenes to provide a safe environment and evaluates effectiveness of intervention for patient.

  •Provides assistance to co-workers, new staff, temporary staff and students.

  •Delegates and assigns tasks to licensed and unlicensed health care workers within the scope of their job responsibilities

  Qualifications

  Educational Requirements:

  Associate Degree required

  Bachelor's degree in science in nursing - state accredited program preferred

  Licenses:

  RN State license required

  BLS certification required

  Experience:

  1 year acute care experience in specialty area

  Ability to interpret and apply knowledge of State, Federal and Agency standards to comply with regulations

  Working knowledge of Nursing Practice Act, The Joint Commission and other state and local regulatory requirements.

  Strong interpersonal and communication skills. And has full command (verbal and written) of the English language.

  Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of health care technology within specialty area.

  Demonstrates commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.

  Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information for decision support.

  Must be able to manage competing priorities, while being extremely adaptable and flexible and maintaining a positive work environment

  Previous experience in Adult Fitness programs. Prior experience in designing exercise prescriptions.

  Demonstrates a commitment to customer service and an ability to meet the needs and expectations of patients and health care colleagues.

  Physical Demands:

  Able to perform moderate lifting.

  Able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.

  Able to read papers and online documents.

  Able to operate standard office equipment.

  Able to exercise physical ability and perspective acuity to satisfactorily perform essential job functions.
