About Registered Nurse - Cardiac Medicine/Progressive Care

  Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Medicine/Progressive Care Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community. Our patient population includes patients requiring general medicine or progressive level of care. We care for patients with complex medical needs and co-morbidities, including CHF, NSTEMI, chest pain, coronary artery disease, post-intervention sheath management, COPD, pneumonia or other cardio-respiratory problems, End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), peritoneal dialysis, liver failure, alcohol withdrawal and/or other intoxicants and much more! It's a great place to learn a wide variety of diseases processes and broaden clinical assessment skills. Our unit has a high number of daily admissions, discharges and transfers. South 8 also houses the remote telemetry cock pit which is staffed by specially trained PCAs who learn cardiac rhythm interpretation. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. As a nursing professional you will be empowered to manage your clinical practice and working environment through our Shared Governance Model, which focuses on evidence-based nursing practice. Our award-winning programs give our patients and their families a place of comfort and healing. We are proud of the care we give each and every patient. Work Schedule: 0.70 FTE. Night shifts. 8 hour shifts. Every other weekend. *Degree in Nursing *Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota *CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers Preferred Qualifications: *BSN/MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire *One year of acute care RN experience is preferred Benefits: Regions Hospital offers a competitive benefits package (.5 FTE or greater) that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, 401K with match, disability insurance, and tuition reimbursement.
