This position reports to the VP of Nutrition Services and resides in the Merakey Pittsburgh department. The Dietitian plans modified diets as requested by the attending medical director, provides nutritional assessments for patients as needed, and counsels' patients and families on dietary plans, food selections and nutritional principles. Provides in-service training to the nutritional services staff.
Merakey Facilities are located in the Coraopolis and Crafton Area. The facilities are spread between 3 locations that the dietitian visits based on flexible they determine schedule. Positions offers milage reimbursement and competitive pay.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide menu nutritional analysis as needed for clients.Support the facilities nutrition needs by assisting with menu creation and client based nutritional requests.Maintain a current understanding of MNT related to the healthcare/hospital environment (specifically enteral and parental nutrition and texture modification diets).Have a working knowledge of the different nutritional standards under the Dietary Guidelines for Americans for multiply age groups.```{=html}
