About Regional Project Manager/VP

  Description:

  The VP / Regional Manager provides overall direction and guidance to the operational activities of the regional area they manage with the objective of maximizing growth and profitability as well as day-to-day leadership and management to the Company operational functions. The VP / Regional Manager sets the behavioral expectations of all operational and functional teams to promote a highly respectful, ethical, and safe place to work at all times. The VP / Regional Manager will simultaneously provide oversight to key stakeholders that manage multiple clients and projects by area or type and has overall responsibility for the successful conclusion of commercial construction projects. The VP / Regional Manager oversees client relationships, Project Directors and Managers as well as all projects through the project team. The VP / Regional Manager oversees carefully the Project Directors and Managers, who coordinate teams to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to a high standard. The VP / Regional Manager shall ensure that the project team adequately performs for the client and the company as it relates to communication, cost, quality, schedule, and safety and shall maintain relationships with specific current and future Clients, Architects and Trade Contractors. The VP / Regional Manager provides leadership to strategically manage risk, monitor finances and ensure each phase of work is started or completed on time. The VP / Regional Manager assists business development and marketing efforts to support a sales culture for the company’s business growth plan so that the company can continually procure new work. Furthermore, the VP / Regional Manager shall facilitate and participate in strategic planning to promote the company's vision, mission and core values.

  Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field.

  • In lieu of the above educational requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered.

  • 15+ years construction management experience (Preferred).

  • 5+ years people management experience (Required).

  • Demonstrated success in simultaneously leading multiple large or complex projects and/or multiple teams (Required).

  • A strong understanding of field operations with aptitude for building complex commercial projects and effectively managing crews.

  • Must have experience with scheduling software and with bidding software.

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

  • Knowledge of business and management principles and practices.

  • Knowledge of human resource management principles and practices.

  • Knowledge of basic economic and accounting principles and practices.

  • Knowledge of Company policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of basic economic and accounting principles and practices.

  • Knowledge of office administrative procedures.

  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to, but not limited to, safety, the environment and transportation.

  • Must be willing to work non-traditional hours if needed to meet project needs.

  • Strong ability to prioritize while performing work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner with competing deadlines.

  • Advanced communication skills, both verbally and written.

  • Advanced ability to conduct effective presentations.

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office.

  • Must possess a thorough knowledge of project processes and how each supports the successful completion of a commercial construction project.

  • Advanced proficiency in project management and accounting software. ()

  • Advanced proficiency in required construction technologies.

  • Strong ability to manage budgets, to maximize profitability, and to generate future work.

  • Ability to complete estimating and productivity analysis.
